Non-metallic enclosures are commonly made of polycarbonate, ABS, polyester, or fiberglass-reinforced polyester. These enclosures are well suited for corrosive environments (NEMA 4X) and some are even rated for submersion in water for extended periods of time (NEMA 6P).
