Couplings provide a means to connect one rotating device to another, enabling the joining of different shaft sizes and adjusting for minor misalignment of the shafts. Some models provide vibration dampening and electrical isolation. Safety limiters are used to disengage the machine shaft when excessive torque or machine jam occurs.
