Locking cylinders can offer drop prevention when the pressure of air source is decreased or the residual pressure is released. Some models are suitable for mid-stroke stops and emergency stops. Three locking mechanisms are available: spring lock, air-pressure lock, and air-/spring-pressure lock. Many offer locking in both extending and retracting motions.
