Low-voltage DC control is often used in industrial systems as it is relatively safe and components are less costly. DC power supplies convert AC line voltages ranging from 85VAC to 264VAC to DC voltages for control circuits. 24VDC is the most common, with other voltages available such as 5VDC, 12VDC, and 48VDC. Output amperages range from 0.5 amps to 40 amps or more.
