Capacitive Sensors

A capacitive sensor is a proximity sensor that produces an electrostatic field that senses conductive targets and non-conductive targets that have a dielectric constant of greater than one within its sensing zone. Applications include the detecting of liquids as well as non-metallic objects such as wood and grains.
