Infrared Sensors

Infrared (IR) is an invisible radiant energy that these sensors use to detect objects. Reflective sensors are often used when the object is not opaque, the object causes signal issues between the emitter and detector, or detection of the object’s presence or position is required. In transmissive sensors, switching takes place whenever an opaque object passes through the slot between emitter and detector.
