Photoelectric Sensors

Photoelectric sensors use either visible or infrared light to detect the absence or presence of objects (targets) in the manufacturing environment. Various modes are employed such as diffuse, retro reflective, thru-beam, background suppression, divergent, convergent, luminescence, and contrast.  For small object detection or to remotely locate the sensor amplifier, fiber optic cables made of either plastic or glass fibers are used at the point of detection.
